We started in 2020 by building a screening platform that enables employers to evaluate candidates in the skills that matter most for success in a role. Our product replaces subjective, incomplete, and often inflated CVs with objective, reliable, and fair test results measuring aptitude, practical job skills, motivation, and culture add.
Improving and expanding this platform is currently our core focus, but it’s only the beginning of our journey to get everyone their dream job. Over time, we will launch more products that support this mission.
We have procured $70m in Series A funding from the venture-capital firms Atomico and Balderton Capital, and our growth is on target to continue exponentially. Chances are you’re familiar with some of our biggest customers, like Sony, PepsiCo, H&M, Deloitte, Oracle, Revolut, and the UK’s National Health Service.
We work remotely, spread across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

The job in a nutshell
We are looking for a highly experienced Staff Engineer to join our team and take a leading role in shaping our engineering strategy, driving technical excellence, and enhancing the developer experience.
As a Staff Engineer, you will provide thought leadership in defining best practices, fostering innovation, and mentoring engineers to navigate complex technical challenges. Your contributions will ensure our platform remains aligned with our product strategy, business growth, and long-term strategic vision.
You’ll spend time on the following
- Partnering with engineering and product leaders to align technical initiatives with long-term business objectives.
- Identifying and executing key initiatives to improve system performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Enhancing developer experience by improving tooling, workflows, and way of working.
- Role model on quality and efficiency by actively contributing to codebases, driving best practices, and demonstrating excellence through hands-on work.
- Providing coaching and mentorship to engineers, fostering technical excellence, ownership, and professional growth.
- Supporting teams in making well-informed technical decisions by balancing trade-offs, risk, and business impact.
- Leading architectural decisions to build a high-quality, maintainable, and extensible platform.
- Driving proactive measures to minimize technical debt and ensure structured execution of platform initiatives.
- Embedding AI technologies in our stack to enable new AI-driven capabilities in our product.
