Responsibilities of the Remote Software Developer/Web Scraper at Amazing Properties
- Design, build, and maintain robust web scraping scripts and tools.
- Extract, clean, and store data from real estate, rental, and legal platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot scraping jobs to ensure consistent data delivery.
- Ensure scraping methods comply with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Scrape and extract data from real estate and property listing platforms such as Crexi, Zillow, LoopNet, and similar.
- Collaborate with team members to understand data needs and implement solutions accordingly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with web scraping using Python
- Experience handling anti-bot mechanisms, captchas, and rotating proxies.
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM structures.
- Familiarity with data parsing and storage (JSON, CSV, databases).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
