Are You Eligible?
To be considered for this prestigious scholarship, you must:
- Hail from the Niger Delta Region.
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a First Class, Second Class Upper, or Second Class Lower division from a recognized university.
- Be no more than 40 years old.

- Complete the online application form.
- Upload the required documents:
- Recent passport photograph
- Local Government Identification Letter
- Post-Graduate admission letter from a recognized overseas university
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree certificate(s)
- NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate

Selection Process:
- Initial Application: Submit via the NDDC website.
- Preliminary Shortlisting: Based on WASSCE/NECO results, degree classification, and LGA identification.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a CBT conducted in Rivers State. A minimum score of 70% is required to advance.
- Further Shortlisting: Candidates who pass the CBT.
- Final Verification: Conducted through your Local Government Area (LGA) and Community Development Committee (CDC).
Important Notes:
- Preference may be given to applicants from Oil Producing Host Communities/LGAs who meet the cut-off mark.
- The NDDC aims for a fair distribution of courses among beneficiaries within each state.
- Deferment, changing your institution, or changing your course are not permitted after selection.
- The NDDC will only communicate with shortlisted candidates for the CBT and subsequent interview stages.
- The scholarship amount will be determined based on the prevailing Naira exchange rate.
