The United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network Nigeria (UN SDSN Nigeria) recognizes the urgent need to address climate change and the challenges posed by the triple planetary crisis—rising global temperatures, biodiversity loss, and environmental pollution.
About the Programme
The Climate Actors Accelerator Programme (CAAP) is designed for young innovators and changemakers aged 18 to 35 who are committed to developing solutions for climate challenges and contributing to a net-zero future.
Participants will gain access to:
- Advanced training on climate solutions.
- Boot camps to enhance leadership and technical skills.
- Environmental campaigns to drive local action.
- Clean-up efforts and tree-planting activities to restore ecosystems.
- Ecological tours for immersive learning experiences.
- Innovation-driven learning to foster creative climate solutions.
Programme Objectives
CAAP aims to build a network of young climate leaders who will develop transformative solutions in:
- Climate change mitigation and adaptation.
- Biodiversity conservation.
- Sustainable resource management.
- Responsible production and consumption.
By equipping participants with essential skills, the programme fosters a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable environment.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian and between 18 and 35 years old.
- Be able to commit at least four (4) hours per week throughout the programme.
- Be available to participate in masterclasses, climate education sessions, and community development projects.
- Have a passion for driving development and transformation.
