Start Date: To be determined, but ideally April/May 2025

Application Deadline: 1st April, 11.59pm UK Time (GMT)

How to Apply: See the application process at the bottom of this page

    Role Overview

The External Relations and Outreach Coordinator will be our fifth team member and will join a small team working remotely, which is passionate about doing development work in a feminist and anti-colonial way. As part of a small and growing international charity your role will be integral in driving the growth that Global Girl Project needs to achieve in the coming year, in order to increase our impact.

We are in a period of growth, and as a feminist charity doing things differently we need new and creative ways to fundraise and ensure our ongoing growth and sustainability. Your focus will be on building and implementing communication, outreach, and external engagement strategies that ensure an increased reach and that will translate into further funding and support. Additionally, you will work to  source strategic partnerships and develop our offering and work with corporate partners in order to ensure the sustainability of us as an organisation. As we are a global organisation, the person who is successful with this application will be from and live in one of the regions where we work (Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Caribbean, South Asia, South East Asia). Please note we are not accepting applications from those based in the Global North for this role.

This position is a part-time, 1-year contract position and the candidate will be considered self-employed. We anticipate this role to work a 24 hour/3 day work week – the right candidate will be able to work flexibly to support global partners, which may include early mornings, evenings or weekends. You also need to be available during our organisation’s ‘golden hours’ of 10am – 2pm UK time (GMT/BST)

Pay rate: Pay will be calculated depending on the location of the successful candidate and adjusted for cost of living. As a guide this role in the UK would be paid £21,000 annually, which is £4992 annually or £5400 monthly for 3 days per week, within the regions we are hiring. Please note we are not hiring in the UK and the salary range mentioned for this location is a guide only, not the salary on offer.
