Job Summary
- In this role, you will be responsible for managing the civil construction business unit of the group.
- This will involve planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects.
As a Civil Construction Business Lead, You Will Be Responsible For
- Project management: Lead and manage large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
- Business Management: Lead business opportunity drive and ensure closure. Ensure smooth running and management of the entire business.
- Design and planning: Develop and implement designs for infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water treatment systems.
- Team leadership: Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and construction personnel.
- Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure project requirements are met.
- Risk management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring project safety and minimizing delays.
- Technical expertise: Provide technical guidance and support on complex engineering projects.
- Quality control: Ensure projects meet quality standards, codes, and regulations.
- Budgeting and cost management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Scheduling: Create and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion and meeting deadlines.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on project progress, issues, and outcomes.
What Are We Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Masters in Structural Engineering will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years post-qualification relevant working experience of which at least 5 years must have been in leadership role/level.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies (COREN, NSE etc.)
- Candidates should have worked in reputable Construction Companies and/or Project based Organizations.
- Project Management Certification.
- Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
- Good Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving Skills.
- Patience, Decisiveness, Resourcefulness and Detailed-Oriented Meticulousness.
