The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) is now accepting applications for the 2025 Go Gal! Innovation Initiative — a dynamic platform designed to identify, support, and celebrate young African women who are driving innovation and impact across the continent.
About the AU Go Gal! Innovation Initiative
The Go Gal! Innovation Initiative is part of AUDA-NEPAD’s broader mission to foster inclusive development by amplifying the voices and talents of young African women.
The program seeks to empower girls and young women by providing them with mentorship, resources, visibility, and strategic support to scale their innovative ideas and solutions.
Participants will gain access to:
- Capacity-building workshops and innovation bootcamps
- Mentorship from experts and industry leaders across Africa
- Networking opportunities with changemakers and development partners
- Funding support or technical assistance to bring their solutions to life
- Recognition at national and continental levels
Who Can Apply?
This initiative is open to:
- Young women aged 15–25 living in African Union member states
- Innovators with solutions in STEM, health, education, climate action, entrepreneurship, agriculture, governance, or social impact
- Applicants with prototype, pilot, or early-stage solutions are encouraged to apply
